Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients
  

  • 200 grams Good Quality Dark Chocolate Chopped
  • 200 grams heavy double cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • Assorted Dippers; strawberries, banana, marshmallows, pound cake, pretzels etc as per choice

Instructions
 

  • Wash and dry fruits like strawberries, marshmallows, cake slices into bite-sized pieces.
  • Arrange all dippers on a platter.
  • In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
  • Once simmering, remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate to the cream.
  • Let it sit for a minute to soften, then stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  • Once the chocolate is smooth, add the unsalted butter.
  • Stir until the butter is completely melted and the mixture is well combined.
  • Pour the melted chocolate mixture into a fondue pot or a heatproof serving bowl. If using a fondue pot,light the burner underneath according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Place the fondue pot on the table, surrounding it with the platter of assorted dippers and fondue forks or skewers.
  • Dip your choice of dippers into the warm chocolate fondue and enjoy.

Notes

  1. If using a fondue pot with a burner, adjust the flame to maintain a gentle heat and prevent the chocolate from burning or solidifying.
  2. Stir the chocolate occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
